Punch Press

Laserform Profiling Systems Ltd's Punch Press holds a large and complex die set, which consists of a set of male punches and female dies which, when pressed together, form a hole in a workpiece or may contort the workpiece to the desired form. A hydraulic ram moves up and down in a vertically linear motion, which is controlled by CNC. All programming is done in house by our skilled CAD/CAM operators who will design the workpiece which is to be cut. This process is used for the highest volume production.

We have a purpose designed Sheet Metal Fabrication Centre where we use the most up to date C.N.C. punch-pressing equipment to profile metal components.

This Machine has many advantages over standard manual scribing etc.

• After initial design and set up the reorder thereafter is a matter of sending a program from our computer to the machine.
• The fast stroke rates, and tool change, high work piece quality and versatility of application gives our punching facility the edge over many other machining processes.
• The machine allows us to make many components much more cost effectively.
• It gives us much greater flexibility whether we are punching or forming.
• Max working sheet size X 2500mm x Y is 1250mm
• Max sheet thickness 6.4mm
