Waterjet Cutting

Waterjet Cutting is particularly advantageous where conventional methods only provide insufficient quality. No further additional costs due to reworking or lower processing speed. Since during the cutting no gases or vapours are generated, the method is also safe, clean and environmentally friendly.

When water is pressurized up to 60,000 pounds or more per square inch (psi) and forced through a tiny opening, it can cut a variety of soft materials including food, paper and baby diapers, rubber and foam. When small amounts of abrasive particles, such as garnet, are mixed into the jet stream, the resulting "abrasive waterjet" can cut virtually any hard material such as metal, composites, stone and glass. A waterjet pressurizes a stream of pure water, which can cut any material without heat such as foam, rubber etc.
